What is the BDSradio Meter Count report?
For users who have access to Meter Counts as part of their BDSradio affiliation and Nielsen Audio agreement.
- In BDSradio go to Stations / Meter Counts to see raw PPM meter count information from Nielsen Audio.
- Select the Dayparts, Age group, Gender, and Ethnicity of the PPM respondents you want to view.
- Select the end Date of the week you'd like to see.
- Select the Station(s) you'd like to include in the report.
- Hover over any of the blue highlighted meter count numbers to reveal historical trend information.
- Click the minus sign next to the station call letters to remove a station from your report.
The Meter Counts report is updated every Sunday with Preliminary data through the previous Wednesday. Two weeks later, Preliminary data is replaced with Finalized data from Nielsen Audio. At the top of the report you can see if the date range you are viewing is "Prelim" or "Final" data.
The tabs across the top of the report allow you to navigate to different views of the Meter Counts. On all views you will see Meter Counts for the station(s) you have selected and for the overall Market.
Meters Per Min Avg Daily shows the average number of PPM meters per minute for the full week (Thu-Wed), for the weekdays (Mon-Fri) during that week, and for each individual day of the week.
Meters Per Min Avg Weekday shows the weekday (Mon-Fri) average number of PPM meters per minute trend for the last 6 weeks.
Meters Per Min Avg Full Week shows the full week (Thu-Wed) average number of PPM meters per minute trend for the last 6 weeks.
Meters Daily shows PPM meter counts for the full week (Thu-Wed), for the weekdays (Mon-Fri) during that week, and for each individual day of the week.
Meters Weekday shows the weekday (Mon-Fri) PPM meter counts trend for the last 6 weeks.
Meters Full Week shows the full week (Thu-Wed) PPM meter counts trend for the last 6 weeks.
The Meter Counts report reflects Nielsen Audio's Total Line Reporting so simulcasts are aggregated where appropriate. Visit our article regarding Audience for more information about the Nielsen Audio ratings.
Program Directors are only allowed to see Meter Counts for stations within their Market.
