How are the New & Active titles on the Music Tracking airplay charts determined?

  1. To view an airplay chart in Music Tracking click the Overview button on the toolbar. The Overview button looks like a globe.
  2. The New & Active titles are marked with a blue N&A symbol and represent songs that are "bubbling under" the chart and are likely to debut on the chart soon.
  3. New & Active titles are ranked by Plays (otherwise known as Spins or Detects). The tiebreaker for New & Active titles is the number of stations who have reported the song as an Add (shown as the stations "On" the song in Music Tracking).
  4. The number of New & Active titles flagged each week varies from chart to chart.
  5. To qualify for New & Active a song must be flat or increasing in spins from Last Week to This Week and cannot have been on the chart itself for more than 6 weeks.
